THE SPICE ISLE

The Caribbean's Most Quietly Impressive Nation

Grenada Citizenship by Investment has brought renewed global attention to this Caribbean island. Known as the “Spice Isle,” Grenada sits at the southern tip of the Windward Islands and is famous for its long-standing dominance in nutmeg and mace production.

Tourism and financial services support the economy today, but the spice trade still plays a defining role in shaping the island’s identity. Grenada gained independence in 1974 and operates under a stable parliamentary system based on English common law.

Its capital, St. George’s, is home to one of the Caribbean’s most scenic natural harbours and a well-regarded medical university attracting international students each year.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program

Grenada launched its citizenship by investment program in 2013. Over a decade in, it has built a reputation as one of the most strategically valuable programs in the Caribbean, not because of the lowest price, but because of what the passport unlocks.

Two investment routes are available: a contribution to the National Transformation Fund from USD 235,000 or a government-approved real estate investment from USD 270,000. Both lead to the same outcome: full citizenship, a passport covering 145+ countries, and, uniquely among Caribbean programs, eligibility for the US E-2 Investor Visa. No residency required. No language test. The entire process is handled remotely.

PROGRAM ADVANTAGES

Key Benefits of the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Program

US E-2 Investor Visa Access

Grenada’s E-2 Treaty with the United States allows citizens to apply to establish and operate a business there. This provides a legal pathway to live and work in the US, with eligibility extended to immediate family members.

Flexible Application with No Stay Requirement

There is no requirement to visit or reside in Grenada at any stage. The entire process can be completed remotely, allowing applicants to secure citizenship while continuing to live and work from their current location.

Visa-Free Travel to 145+ Countries

The Grenadian passport offers access to over 145 destinations, including the Schengen Area, the UK, China, Singapore, and Hong Kong. This supports smoother global travel across key business and lifestyle destinations.

Full Family Inclusion

The program allows inclusion of spouse, children under 30, parents, grandparents, and unmarried siblings. This makes it one of the more inclusive citizenship programs, covering multiple generations under a single application.

Real Estate Investment with Exit Option

The real estate route allows investors to hold approved property and resell after five years without affecting citizenship status. Some developments may also provide rental income during the investment holding period.

Dual Citizenship Accepted

Grenada permits dual citizenship, meaning applicants can retain their existing nationality. There is no requirement to renounce your current passport, ensuring continuity of rights and benefits in your home country.

APPLICATION PROCESS

How the Application Process Works

Grenada's process runs 6-9 months from start to finish. Here is what each stage involves.

Book a Private Consultation
01

Initial Consultation

UNO Capital reviews your profile, confirms eligibility, advises on family inclusion, and recommends the right investment route. A formal engagement is signed before the process begins.
02

Document Preparation & Application Submission

All required documents are gathered: passports, birth and marriage certificates, police clearance, bank statements, source of funds, medical certificate, and passport photos. UNO Capital reviews every document before submission. Your completed application is submitted to the Grenada Citizenship by Investment Committee (CBIC).
03

Due Diligence & Background Check

The CBIC conducts thorough background checks on all applicants and dependents aged 17 and above. International compliance databases are used. This stage covers identity, source of funds, and personal history.
04

Due Diligence & Government Review

Once due diligence is cleared, the CBIC issues an Approval in Principle. At this stage, the investment is not yet made; approval comes first.
05

Investment Payment

Following approval in principle, the chosen investment is completed; NTF contribution transferred or real estate purchase finalized. Proof of investment is submitted to the CBIC within 30 days of approval.
06

Citizenship Certificate & Passport Issuance

The Certificate of Naturalization is issued, followed by the Grenadian passport. Passports are sent to the applicant's address via a secure courier or collected through the nearest consulate. No visit to Grenada is required.
