Grenada

The Caribbean's Most Quietly Impressive Nation
Tourism and financial services support the economy today, but the spice trade still plays a defining role in shaping the island’s identity. Grenada gained independence in 1974 and operates under a stable parliamentary system based on English common law.
Its capital, St. George’s, is home to one of the Caribbean’s most scenic natural harbours and a well-regarded medical university attracting international students each year.

Antigua and Barbuda Citizenship by Investment – FAQs
How to get Grenada citizenship?
Grenada citizenship can be obtained through the Citizenship by Investment Program by making either a qualifying contribution to the National Transformation Fund starting from USD 235,000 or an approved real estate investment starting from USD 270,000. Applicants must pass due diligence checks, provide supporting documents, and apply through a licensed agent such as UNO Capital.
What makes Grenada different from other Caribbean CBI programs?
One key difference is Grenada’s E-2 Treaty with the US. It allows Grenadian citizens to apply for the E-2 Investor Visa, enabling them to start a business and live in the US with their immediate family, an option not offered by other Caribbean CBI programs.
How to become a citizen of Grenada?
To become a citizen of Grenada, applicants must be over 18, have a clean background, prove a legitimate source of funds, and complete one of the approved investment options under the Citizenship by Investment Program. Once approved and the investment is completed, citizenship and a passport are issued.
What happens if my application is rejected — is any fee refunded?
If an application is rejected before approval in principle, the investment amount is generally not paid yet and therefore not at risk. However, due diligence, processing, and professional fees already incurred are typically non-refundable. Refund terms may vary depending on the investment route and service agreements.
How long is each step of the application process?
The complete Grenada citizenship process usually takes around 6–9 months from submission to passport issuance. Document preparation generally takes 2–4 weeks, while government processing and due diligence typically take several months. Once approval in principle is issued and the investment is completed, passports are usually issued within a few weeks.
How exactly does the US E-2 Investor Visa work for Grenadian citizens?
Grenadian citizens are eligible to apply for the US E-2 Investor Visa because Grenada has an active E-2 treaty with the United States. The visa allows eligible investors to establish or purchase a business in the US and live there while actively managing the business. Spouses and dependent children can also accompany the main applicant.
Can my citizenship be revoked after it is granted?
Citizenship may only be revoked in limited circumstances, such as fraud, false information, concealment of material facts, or serious criminal activity connected to the application process. Once granted legitimately, Grenadian citizenship is generally permanent and can be passed on to future generations.
Can I add a newborn child after citizenship is granted?
Yes. A newborn child can usually be added after citizenship is granted, subject to government approval, additional fees, and submission of the required documentation. The child would then become eligible for Grenadian citizenship and a passport.
