The Ministry of Economy has not yet published a minimum investment figure or a confirmed list of qualifying sectors, and a tender meant to bring in a private operator to help launch the program was cancelled in April 2026. Who Can Apply
Argentina’s full eligibility criteria haven’t been published yet. Based on the decree, applicants will need to demonstrate a qualifying investment as defined by forthcoming Ministry of Economy rules and pass background checks covering financial, criminal, and security history. No residency in Argentina, prior or ongoing, is required to apply.
Alongside program-specific requirements, the following apply to all applicants as standard:
- Clean Criminal Record
Applicants must have no criminal record. Background checks are coordinated across multiple government agencies as part of the review process. - Due Diligence Clearance
All applicants must successfully pass the government’s due diligence checks, which cover financial, security, and immigration history. - Proof of Source of Funds
Applicants must provide documented evidence that the investment funds have been legally obtained. This is a mandatory part of the application process. - Compliance and Documentation
All compliance and documentation requirements set out by the relevant authorities must be met in full before an application can proceed.

- The decree doesn’t yet specify which family members can be included on an application.
- Most comparable programs extend coverage to a spouse and dependent children, and industry expectation is that Argentina’s program will follow a similar pattern.
